October 2006: Palm Regional Conference 2006

Virtual Map was invited by Microsoft to showcase its mobile offerings in this Palm Regional Event; themed Carriers, Smartphones and Killer Applications. Held on the 13th of October 2006 at the Conrad International Hotel Ballroom, this was in conjunction with launch of the new Palm® Treo™ 750v.

This sleek device, which is a marriage of Palm's stylish interface and the power of Smart Phones e.g Windows Mobile 5.0 OS, comes with a 1.3mp camera, a built in backlit Qwerty keypad and a 128mb flash memory among other features. Virtual Map showcased its popular and well known travel guide mobile mapping application, MySDCom PDA, together with its other mobile applications used in the Facilities Management and Mobile Workforce Solutions. It is built on Windows Mobile 2003 SE and Windows Mobile 5.0, designed to provide you with on-the-spot Location-Based Information. Powered by maps as seen on www.streetdirectory.com, MYSDCom PDA provides you with the accessibility of having Location-Based Solution (LBS) wherever you go. MYSDCom PDA also comes with a Bluetooth GPS communications module as well as data exchange capabilities when integrated with VMSpace, which enable control centers to rely on these information to better manage staff and resources.
